Please note our walks always operate ‘rain hail or shine’, …so far it’s only sporting events that stop us. Please always allow extra time after the walks to allow for social networking.

Cockatoo Island Historical Scenic Walk
See what life was like in the early colony days up to present day at this amazing harbour island

Start Time: 11.50am for a 12.10pm ferry departure

Meeting Point: Circular Quay – please wait outside Wharf #5 (You’ll see me with my Sydney Walking Cap) 11.50am for a 12.10pm departure via Ferry – you’ll need to purchase your own return ferry tickets prior to departure – or – use your own weekly My-Multi-Pass (***Please keep my phone number handy – if you think you can’t find me)

Return Time: We will be returning after 2 hours and stopping at the Cockatoo Island Cafe just before we depart the wharf for a chat.
About This Walk: We will be examining key points and locations around Cockatoo Island. In the process, you’ll be able to learn what life was like in Sydney’s early and sometimes dark history plus some more recent notes about the 20th century changes that dot all through island. Also the views from this island are amazing!
